AltusGroup, the organization of leading North American precasters dedicated to innovation through collaboration, is seeking qualified applicants for the executive director role in advance of the February 2025 retirement of John Carson.
Reporting to the AltusGroup board of directors, the full-time executive director position spearheads the organization’s strategic planning efforts and manages the initiatives that arise from it, including the exploration and commercialization of new precast technologies, partnerships with innovative precast suppliers and ongoing marketing and technical efforts.
The executive director is also responsible for managing group finances, membership and recruitment activities, intellectual property and legal affairs, and coordinating the team of expert consultants and advisers who work on AltusGroup’s behalf. Read the full job description and learn how to apply.
Carson has held the executive director position since July 2012. During his tenure, the organization expanded its geographic footprint into Canada while solidifying its coast-to-coast presence United States, with AltusGroup members now operating 27 manufacturing facilities across North America. In addition to AltusGroup’s flagship CarbonCast technology, Carson continues to coordinate several technology development initiatives intended to streamline the construction process and reduce the carbon footprint of precast enclosure systems.
Prior to 2012, Carson was commercial director of development for Chomarat NA, the supplier of C-GRID , the enabling technology of CarbonCast products. He was instrumental in spearheading the formation of AltusGroup in 2023, which arose from joint development initiatives starting in 1999.
