“More with Less” offered nearly 400 building industry professionals the opportunity to learn new ways to create structures that are lighter, stronger, sustainable and more energy efficient with innovative precast enclosure technologies. AltusGroup professionals presented a free, full day program of six AIA-registered continuing education courses in 15 locations nationwide.

Key building industry professionals attend "More with Less" seminar in Kansas City, Mo.
The series commenced with Precast Enclosure Possibilities, Sustainable Design and Precast Enclosure Systems and Precast Aesthetics: Managing Cost and Quality that conveyed the durability and aesthetic versatility of precast concrete. Similarly, innovative CarbonCast enclosures that use ultra-strong, noncorrosive C-GRID, an epoxy-coated carbon fiber grid, were featured in Introduction to CarbonCast Enclosure Systems, Designing with CarbonCast Enclosure Systems and Project Case Studies.
Attendees also learned about the latest line of hidden connections from JVI, Inc., an AltusGroup Innovation Partner, and FOAMULARĀ® Extruded Polystrene Insulation by Owens Corning.
A short video featuring Martha VanGeem Principal Engineer, Building Science and Sustainability, at CTLGroup dispelled popular myths about precast concrete based on her experience in the areas of green buildings and infrastructure, energy conservation, energy codes, thermal mass, mass concrete, and moisture mitigation.
All presentations are registered as “Health, Safety and Wellness” learning units; those who attended the full day also earned six “Sustainable Design” credits to meet AIA mandates.

CarbonCast enclosures use C-GRID epoxy-coated carbon fiber grid to be thinner, lighter and more durable than conventional building systems.
AltusGroup will continue to deliver its “More with Less” series as part of its ongoing CEU programs.
