Carbon fiber grid floats students’ boats
The annual collegiate concrete canoe competition is taking place in Evansville, Ill., this weekend. Each year, many of the teams opt to use C-GRID® carbon fiber grid from Chomarat NA LLC, the AltusGroup member that supplies C-GRID for CarbonCast products.

Carbon fiber’s superior strength and corrosion resistance enable students to fabricate concrete canoes with thinner walls and, therefore, less weight.
